Short Bio: Rebecca Williams (she/her) is a writer, lawyer, and artist exploring how data and technology shape power. Her work asks how we can resist surveillance and extraction while building systems that support collective care and self-determination. She is the Senior Strategist for Privacy and Data Governance at the ACLU, serves on the board of MuckRock, and teaches Information and Human Rights at Pratt Institute. Previously, she worked across government and civil society, including at the White House Office of Management and Budget and the Sunlight Foundation, and as a fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School. She holds a J.D. from Western New England Law School and a B.A. in Communication from the University of Massachusetts and was named one of the American Bar Association’s 10 Women to Watch in Legal Tech.
